Goshen Pass, a deep crevasse along the Maury River in Rockbridge County, Virginia, has often been the source of inspiration for regional artists. I first was inspired by the Pass in the early 1990’s, returning years later to paint the twist, turns, and extreme rocks of this beautiful area. Selection of color harmonies collected from on-site observation is at the heart of the collection, which was created en plein air as well as in the studio. All paintings are in oil. I hope you will join me to celebrate this, my Goshen Symphony, my first solo showing in Lexington, Virginia. A hearty thanks to the Earth, Fire, and Spirit Gallery for this support and encouragement.
Join me for the Opening Reception Friday, October 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:30pm, Artist’s Talk at 6pm.
This is always one of the first items on my calendar every year. I look forward to working with, and learning from, Stan. I can’t wait to get back to this amazing little slice of the New England coast.
I am honored and excited to have been selected to take part in the 2019 Paint Grand Traverse. There will be demonstrations, workshops, and a quick draw competition. The final celebration and art sale will be Saturday night (7pm).
